So Ive tried the usual hardware testing( memory, harddrive, windows 7..etc) and last resort is updated Bios.
i have a heavy OC and with 0608 when it was unstable the comp reset and my entire bios went back to defaults...
Aaron's suggestion is the best route to take, but when you have a bios that does not allow updating while in the bios (OEM PC's) see this link on how to make a bootable CD to flash the bios.
Ok so my mobo is on revision 0608 and its what is causing my BSOD's. I find it much easier and more reliable to flash the bios via a bootable USB: 1.
however i have never had that problem with 0803 and the same OC is obtainable. Just put the bios on the flash drive, reboot into the BIOS and select EZFlash 2.
I am trying to upgrade to Windows 7, but it tells me I first need to update my BIOS.
